We are using developmental screens in our office at many checkups to make sure we don’t miss any subtle problems. Our office has a special developmental nurse, Janice Genova, who can, when needed, perform more in-depth screens of preschool age children to better define their strengths and weaknesses.

We now offer computer-based cognitive function testing for young athletes to serve as a baseline for the child in case they would suffer a concussion. This is offered for children five and older. While this testing is available for athletes of contact sports in public schools and private schools, our middle school athletes often do not always have this option.
