When you come to any of our 3 locations, you will probably notice a few changes. For your safety, we have added a Plexiglas window at each of our check in desks. You will also notice we have measured out places to stand to allow for social distancing. Each team member will be wearing a mask, and we require that any patient over the age of two wears one as well – both in the waiting room and in the exam room. To minimize exposure to our staff and other patients, we will allow one parent per child at your visit. Exceptions to this rule are the newborn recheck, 2-week appointment, of if your child has special needs.
Before check in, you will be asked several screening questions. If you answer “yes” to any of the following symptoms, you will be asked to leave the building, wait in your car and a manager will contact you by phone:
* Fever in the past 24 hours
* A known exposure to COVID-19
* Or if anyone in your household is pending a COVID-19 test result
Currently, we are seeing patients with these symptoms in our Apex location. If you have a scheduled well child visit and can answer yes to any of those questions, we will ask you to reschedule your appointment.
